Additional COVID-19 case confirmed



A 52-year-old woman has tested positive for COVID-19 in The Bahamas, the Ministry of Health confirmed on Saturday. According to a statement, the patient, a resident of New Providence, has no history of travel. She is in isolation at home. This is the first positive test in eight days. According to the Ministry of Health’s dashboard, just over 100 people have been tested over that period of time. There have been 103 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in The Bahamas – 81 on New Providence, 13 on Bimini, eight on Grand Bahama and one on Cat Cay. So far, 62 people have recovered from the virus. The ministry said there are 30 active cases and eight people remain in hospital. The remaining patients are in isolation at home. Additionally, 11 people, who tested positive for COVID-19, have died.
